A former Governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, will square up to the incumbent Seriake Dickson in the governorship poll slated for December 5.
At the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary which held on Tuesday, Sylva polled 726 votes to defeat his closest rival, Timi Alaibe, a former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, who got four votes.
1,502 delegates were expected at the primary election and 19 candidates jostled for the APC governorship ticket.
