The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will be locked in an emergency meeting tonight on the heels of the EFCC invitation extended the way of minority leader in parliament, Godswill Akpabio.
The former Akwa Ibom governor has been asked to explain his part in a N108.1bn fraud petition.
Akpabio has just made a return to the EFCC office in Abuja after being let to go home from that address on Friday. And the PDP sure isn’t finding this circus funny.
National Publicity Secretary of the party, Olisa Metuh, has said a position will be taken by the party on Saturday night.
“On the issue of the alleged arrest of Senator Akpabio, the PDP has called an emergency meeting to look at the issues holistically. We have an emergency meeting with the leadership tonight where we will discuss this matter and then we will make our position known”, Metuh said.
