“Madam Beauty Siasia, who was abducted on November 16 2015, was abandoned by her abductors along the East-West Road, at about 0130hrs, 28 November 2015, due to hot pursuit by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Police Command”, said Bayelsa State police command Spokesman Asinim Butswat.
Beauty Siasia, mother of Nigeria’s U-23 national team, Samson Siasia, was abducted from her Odoni community of Sagama Local Council Area of Bayelsa State home, thirteen days ago.
Buswat disclosed that Madam Siasia is hale and hearty and has since been reunited with her family.
The police did not disclose if any ransom was paid to secure her release.
Siasia has been devastated since his mother’s abduction as he prepares the U-23 team for international meets.
