The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said it is yet to name a replacement for Abubakar Audu who was its flagbearer in the Kogi governorship contest until his passing last Sunday.
Media reports on Saturday suggested that Yahaya Bello who came second in the primary election, had been handpicked by the party hierarchy to contest the supplementary vote with the other governorship candidates on December 5.
But speaking to Vanguard on Saturday on the issue, the Acting National publicity secretary of APC, Comrade Timi Frank said the party was yet to take a decision on Audu’s replacement.
“We are still consulting on the issue. We would take a final stand on the issue of Audu’s replacement on Monday and we are definitely going to issue a statement on the issue”, he said.
