Twin bombs have rocked Borno in North East Nigeria; with the death toll feared to be on the high side, eyewitnesses on the ground have relayed to Ekekeee.
The affected locations are Kimba area of Biu Local Government Area (LGA) and Sabon-Gari.
Details are still sketchy at this time, but we’ll fill in the gaps as soon as we are apprised of more details.
UPDATE: Latest reports say the blasts killed 5 persons. Two in Biu and three in Sabon Gari. The casualty figures include the suicide bombers.
Online news site SaharaReporters quoted a member of the civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) as saying: ”A male detonated a bomb (in Biu) killing an elderly man along with him.”
We were however unable to verify this bit of information at the time of filing this.
