When former President Goodluck Jonathan arrived Polling Unit 039, Ward 13 in Ogbia local government area, alongside his wife Dame Patience, to get accredited in readiness for casting their ballot much later in the day, he was probably expecting a turn of fortune with the electronic card reader machine.
During the March 28 presidential ballot, the card reader rejected Jonathan’s thumbprint time and again before he was handed an incidence form. In that election, his name was on the ballot as a presidential candidate. He would go on to lose that election to the APC backed Muhammadu Buhari.
This time, his vote belongs to Seriake Dickson of the PDP in the Bayelsa State governorship contest. But the card reader has messed up with Jonathan yet again, denying him a chance to get accredited. At the time of filing this, Jonathan is yet to be accredited no thanks to the electronic voter machine.
