APC deputy governorship candidate in the just concluded Kogi elections, Hon James Abiodun Faleke has alleged threat to his life by Alhaji Yahaya Bello who is now Kogi Governor-elect.
Following the passing of Prince Abubakar Audu, Faleke thought he should have been handed the APC Kogi governorship ticket as Audu’s running mate. The APC thought differently and handed the ticket to Bello who polled second in the APC governorship primary, instead.
Faleke has rejected the position of Bello’s deputy governor and has gone to court to challenge the decision of the electoral body and his party.

I have to make this threat to my life public because of the loud silence from the security agencies even after sending petition to them.

For the record, I sent a petition to the IG of Police and DG, DSS on the continuous threat to my life but no response till now.

No doubt, this is coming from the camp of Yahaya Bello and he should be held responsible if (GOD FORBID) anything happens to me.

No amout of intimidation and threat will make me give up the fight for justice and the legal struggle to reclaim #Audu/Faleke mandate.
