The Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Kuchigoro, near games village in Abuja was the theater of wrestlemania on Saturday over distribution of relief materials.
Eyewitnesses who have relayed the account to Ekekeee say the fight broke out after the donor non governmental organisation arrived the camp with plenty of foodstuff to go round but were overpowered by some of the displaced persons who couldn’t wait to be handed the items.
Another eyewitness said representatives of the NGO took to their heels after the struggle for foodstuff at the camp degenerated into an all out brawl.
Reports say the menfolk amongst the IDPs overpowered the donor representatives after the police who were supposed to provide order in the camp, abandoned ship.
There was reportedly enough food to go round but with no one to provide order, most persons wanted their share immediately and then some.
