The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode, has said the party would turn spiritual and use the remaining days before elections to fast and pray for victory.

Ambode disclosed this while speaking to APC members and supporters in Lagos, who participated in the party’s ‘Million Man March’, a 9.2km walk through the heart of Lagos mainland.

While addressing members and supporters at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere where the walk terminated, he said: “We will commit the remaining days before the elections to fasting and prayers and ensure that APC gets 100 percent votes.”

Ambode, who said the APC had proven a point with the walk, declared that the party will give prosperity to Nigerians if voted into power.

The walk, tagged “March For Change”, was flagged off by the party’s national leader, Bola Tinubu at Maryland at 8.00 AM, and ended at 1:05 PM at the Teslim Balogun stadium.

Tinubu, a former Lagos governor, appealed to Nigerians to vote for the party’s candidates in the forthcoming general elections, saying that the party’s presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari was passionate about transforming the country.

“I thank you all for the walk today. Now, we have marched for that change we are clamouring for; marching for common sense revolution. Take this walk as a march for freedom, and it will not be in vain,” he said.
