The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has admitted it owes late Super Eagles technical director, Amodu Shaibu, a few weeks in salaries.
The allegation that the football federation owed Shaibu backlog in salaries was first made by former Eagles goalie, Peterside Idah.
“NFF please pay the ones that are ALIVE. Got a call from him (Amodu) that he has not been paid for about 7 months,” Idah said on Saturday.
However, through its Secretary General, Mohammed Sanusi, the NFF has said the “7 months” allegation wasn’t correct.
“Every member of NFF Management is being owed salaries for two (2) months. The NFF will pay all monies due late Amodu to his family,” Sanusi was quoted to have said in a tweet on the official handle of the NFF.
Amodu passed away in the early hours of Saturday. He twice qualified Nigeria for the world cup.
