A Saturday long APC primary election held to decide the flag-bearer in a guber election slated for September 10, has thrown up Mr. Godwin Obaseki as winner.
The election held at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
The following are the aspirants who participated in the election: Deputy Governor, Dr. Pius Odubu; the head of the state economic team, Godwin Obaseki ; a former governor, Professor Oserhiemen Osunbor, and a fomer Minister of State for Works, Chris Ogiemwonyi.
Others were Maj-Gen Charles Airhiavbere (retd.), Ken Imasuagbon, Peter Esele, Tina Agbarha, Blessing Agbomere, Emmanuel Arigbe-Osula, Professor Ebegue Amadasun and Austin Emuan.
2, 528 delegates were screened to participate in the exercise.
