Nigeria heads to the polling booth on Saturday to elect a new President in the closest electoral race since its return to democracy in 1999.
The race is so close that voters have been pummeled with campaign ads on all platforms and media – print, online, social and now, even SMS.
Here is a tweet from a Nigerian voter with a screen grabbed image of an SMS purportedly sent on behalf of incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday, March 25.

As the election season enters its final stretch, it is reasonable to only expect that more messages of this sort will be sent out to voters.
Expect yours soon.
