Online political blog, The Cable is reporting that President Goodluck Jonathan is currently in a close door meeting with Muhammadu Buhari, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress.
The meeting, which started at 9:10 am, is holding at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Abuja and comes just two days before presidential and national assembly elections slated for March 28.
Believed to be connected with the election, it was said to have been brokered by the national peace committee chaired by Abdulsalami Abubakar, who was also seen in attendance. Other personalities said to be in attendance are Cardinal John Onaiyekan, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Abuja; Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto; Matthew Kukah, Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sokoto; and John Oyegun, APC national chairman of APC.
The meeting is still ongoing. We’ll have more details as we get it.
