Two Nigerian Al Jazeera journalists, Ahmed Idris and Ali Mustafa that were detained by military authorities in Maiduguri may have regained their freedom.
According to KSM News, a blog with affiliations to the Borno State government, both men are currently at a Government lodge in Maiduguri.
Borno Governor, Kashim Shettima was said to have personally intervened in the matter, asking that they be relocated from their hotel where they have been confined in for ten days, the blog said on its Facebook page.
The international broadcaster had sued the Nigerian military after calls for their release had been ignored.
There has been no independent confirmation from Al Jazeera.
