Governor Ben Ayade, wants the business community to buy into his grand vision for a prosperous Cross River.
The governor had said during his inauguration that his government will, within the next four years, build a deep seaport in Calabar, the state capital, and a dual carriage highway of at least 500 kilometres from Calabar to the world famous Obudu Ranch Resort.
Ayade, at the investiture of the 18th President of the Nigerian Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Chief Bassey Edem, was on a charm offensive to potential investors to look Cross River’s way.
“We have great opportunities for investment here in Cross River State. The cocoa farms must come to life, our rice production must spring to life, we have a dual carriage super highway and a sea port being proposed, all of these are investment opportunities that I urge you to key into for mutual benefits.
He applauded NACCIMA for the recognition given to Edem, adding that the state would explore the potentials that existed in the association.
“I congratulate NACCIMA on making one of our brightest and most brilliant the President. It is also my strong conviction that this opportunity provides for him a rare privilege to showcase him for higher national assignment,” he said.
