The 8th Lagos State House of Assembly has just elected Mudashiru Obasa (featured above), a state lawmaker representing Agege Constituency 1 as its Speaker, ending a crisis that threatened to tear through the ranks of Lagos’ All Progressives Congress.

The four-term legislator was nominated by Mr. Olanrewaju Oshun of Mainland Constituency 2 in a motion that was seconded by Mr. Sola Giwa of Lagos Island constituency 2.
Obasa, who is a known loyalist of APC national leader, Bola Tinubu, was elected unopposed at the Assembly’s maiden meeting on Monday.
