Some All Progressives Congress governors met with the National Chairman of the party, John Oyegun, late on Thursday night.
The meeting, which was held at Imo governor’s lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, had an agenda dominated by the ongoing crisis in the National Assembly.
While the crisis in the House of Representatives appears to be reaching a conclusion, the impasse at the Senate continues to drag on.
The Vanguard reports that those present at the meeting included: Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Adams Oshiomhole (Edo), Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna), Rauf Aregbesola (Osun) and Kashim Shettima (Borno).
Others were: Samuel Ortom (Benue), Umar Ganduje (Kano), Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Simon Lalong (Plateau), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Senator Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Tanko Al-Makura (Nasarawa), Sani Bello (Niger), with the deputy governors of Lagos and Oyo states representing their governors.
