The All Progressives Grand Alliance wants to attract and recruit new party members; and if you’re interested, it’s really easy to join.
On Thursday, APGA began its existing membership revalidation process.
It is also registering new members nationwide.
To be eligible for the membership card of the party, it will set you back a whooping … N100.
The party’s national chairman, Dr. Victor Oye, made the announcement in Abuja, during the party’s national retreat for its National Working Committee, as well as zonal and state party chairmen.
And he had some interesting things to say. On the party’s chances in the forthcoming Bayelsa elections, he went, shall we say, spiritual.
“Our Bayelsa State chairman told me that he got a revelation from God that APGA would win the Bayelsa State governorship election.”
He also commented on the demise of the Peoples Democratic Party at the national level.
“The PDP said they would rule for 60 years. That is why they are in crisis. When I told people that the PDP would fail in the last elections, they said it wouldn’t happen because of the incumbency factor.”
And his optimism wasn’t limited to Bayelsa.
“Our chances in the forthcoming governorship elections in Kogi, Bayelsa and Edo states are very bright because the APC and PDP are in disarray and in serious crises.”
There you go.
