Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose has said it would have been easier for him to desert Nigeria’s former president, Goodluck Jonathan, after he lost the March vote, but he wasn’t brought up that way.
Fayose said he’s learned to be loyal to one’s principal and to have an abiding faith in God while at it.
“When I believe in a cause and trust somebody as my leader, I don’t show disloyalty”, Fayose said of his enduring relationship with Jonathan, at a state dinner in Ado Ekiti organised to mark the first year of his second term in office.
Fayose also added that he’s been able to weather the storm posed by the APC in his home State because of his abiding faith in God.
