President Muhammadu Buhari has assured persons displaced by the insurgency in the north-east states of Yobe, Borno and Adamawa that the federal government will do all within its powers to end the reign of the terrorists. He also assured victims of terrorism that they’ll soon have their lives back.
Buhari was speaking on Friday while on a visit to the Makhio IDP camp in Yola, Adamawa State.
“My government is doing everything possible to rebuild your homes, schools, hospitals and roads to enable you go back to your homes,” the president said.
“Boko Haram will soon be a thing of the past.
“I know that most of you are farmers and your farmlands have been destroyed but let me assure you that you will soon go back and continue in your farming,” Buhari assured.
He also commended the Adamawa State government for the support it has offered displaced persons and promised that the federal government will continue to lead the way with more relief materials.
